Editorial policy

How Token & Tech chooses, writes, checks, approves, translates and updates what it publishes, and the rules that apply to every article.

This policy describes how Token & Tech works. It applies to every article, in every language.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made by the editors. Sponsors, advertisers and interviewees do not approve, edit or preview articles before publication. Any commercial relationship connected to an article is disclosed on that article.

Who signs

Most articles are signed by the Token & Tech newsroom, with Daniel Ferreira as editor in charge. When a team member writes, technically reviews or fact-checks an article, their name appears in the credits with the role they performed (author, co-author, technical reviewer, fact-checker or editor). We never attribute a review to someone who did not do it. Profiles list education, experience and the areas in which a person is not presented as an expert.

From idea to publication

Each article starts from a brief and goes through: research in sources, primary ones whenever possible → writing by the newsroom, with the help of AI tools → checking of the cited sources, the links and the rules of this policy → publication → editorial audit by the editor in charge after publication → translation → periodic updates. Publication does not depend on prior individual approval of each text; the editor in charge audits published articles and corrects what is needed under our corrections policy.

Fact, estimate, hypothesis, opinion

We make clear which statements are verified facts, which are estimates, which are hypotheses and which are opinions. Opinion articles are labeled as such. News articles state the date the facts refer to, and we never present old news as current.

Sources

Data and relevant technical claims link to verifiable sources, preferably primary ones: official documents, regulators, academic papers, company filings and datasets. Laws and regulations are cited only after we check the official text and whether it is in force, and we say which jurisdiction they apply to.

Finance, crypto, tokenization and law

These topics get extra care: rules and figures are checked against the official text, with date and jurisdiction; risks, including total loss, are explained; we do not promise returns or recommend assets, products or platforms. These articles are not a substitute for individual professional advice. When a specialist reviews one of these articles, their name appears in the credits.

Use of AI

Newsroom articles are produced with the help of AI tools for research, writing and translation, based on the sources listed in each article. The editor in charge is responsible for what is published. We do not create fictitious authors, quotes or sources; every cited source links to the original.

Translations

Portuguese is the original language. Translations are made from it with the help of AI, adapted to each language rather than word for word, and the page says so. If an article does not exist in a language, we do not show another language’s text under that address.

Updates and corrections

Articles show their publication and update dates. Significant changes are recorded in the article’s revision history. Errors are handled as described in our corrections policy.
